What is the Canton Fair?

The Canton Fair (China Import and Export Fair) is China's largest and oldest trade fair, held twice a year in Guangzhou. With over 25,000 exhibitors and 200,000+ international buyers per session, it is the most important sourcing event in the world.

Fair Phases (Spring & Autumn 2026)

Phase 1: Electronics & Household Electrical Appliances, Hardware & Tools, Machinery, Vehicles & Spare Parts, Building Materials, Chemical Products, Energy.

Phase 2: Consumer Goods, Gifts, Home Decorations. Includes kitchenware, ceramics, glass art, furniture, personal care products, clocks & watches.

Phase 3: Textiles & Garments, Shoes, Office Supplies, Cases & Bags, Food, Medicines & Health Products, Recreational Products.

How to Register

1. Pre-register online at the official Canton Fair website. International buyers can register for free.
2. Receive your Buyer Badge — collect it at the registration center in Guangzhou with your passport and invitation.
3. Visa — apply for a Chinese business visa (M visa) using the Canton Fair invitation letter.

Venue & Transportation

The fair is held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex (Pazhou Complex) at 380 Yuejiang Zhong Road, Guangzhou. Take Metro Line 8 to Pazhou Station (Exit A or C). From Baiyun International Airport, take Metro Line 3 to Kecun, then transfer to Line 8 (about 50 minutes).

Tips for First-Time Visitors

• Book hotels early — rooms near Pazhou fill up months in advance. Consider Tiyu Xilu or Zhujiang New Town areas.
• Wear comfortable shoes — the complex is massive, with over 1.1 million m² of exhibition space.
• Bring a translator app — while many exhibitors speak basic English, having WeChat translate ready helps.
• Plan your route — use the Canton Fair app to mark booths you want to visit before arriving.
• Negotiate wisely — bring product specifications and target pricing; be prepared for MOQ requirements.
