About This Exhibition

Xinjiang's energy resources, focusing on the 'dual carbon' goals, are promoting intelligent, clean, and green development. They play a very important role in ensuring national energy security and serving the 'Belt and Road' initiative, with huge development potential. The petrochemical industry in Xinjiang has established production bases of various scales and characteristics in places such as Karamay, Junggar, Shihezi, Urumqi, and Korla, covering petrochemicals, coal chemicals, salt chemicals, chlor-alkali, and fine chemicals. The petrochemical industry in Xinjiang faces contradictions and problems such as an excessive proportion of upstream development, an insufficient proportion of downstream deep processing, weak technological innovation and R&D capabilities, and relatively backward industrial supporting conditions.
